• Disposable computers?, Dan Knight, Mac Musings. "The whole purpose of Low End Mac is proclaiming the ongoing usefulness of each and every Macintosh, although some are more limited than others."

2002

• Going Ten, part 1, Dan Knight, 10 Forward. We've got the low-end hardware and are preparing for OS X.
• Stop the email madness, Steve Watkins, The Practical Mac. Fighting spam is a good thing, but some ISPs carry things too far.
• Unknown OS redux, Dan Knight, Mac Musings. On reexamination, it looks like our "unknown" visitors are mostly spiders, not OS X users.

2003

• Gimp-Print to the rescue: Letting Macs with Jaguar print on Windows networks, Alan Zisman, Mac2Windows. Gimp-Print adds support for a plethora of printers not otherwise supported by Mac OS X.

2004

• Why do older Macs reset to 1904?, Jeff Adkins, Mac Lab Report. The clock on pre-PowerPC Macs runs from 1904 to 2040 - but why did Apple choose those dates?

2007

• How much PowerBook or iBook do you need to run Mac OS X?, Ted Hodges, Vintage Mac Living. You don't need the latest and greatest Mac to be productive in OS X. Here are six iBook and PowerBook suggestions built between 2000 and 2003.
• IBM Model M: The best computer keyboard ever, Andrew J Fishkin, Best Tools for the Job. Most of today's keyboards are cheap, mushy crap that won't hold up over time. Compared to them, the 20-year-old IBM Model M keyboard must come from a completely different universe.

• Something new in the air, Dan Knight, Mac Musings. Macworld Keynote roundup: Time Capsule, iPhone and iPod touch improvements, iTunes Movie Rentals, Apple TV 2, and MacBook Air, Apple's best notebook ever.
• Restore stability to a troubled Mac with a clean system install, Keith Winston, Linux to Mac. If your Mac is misbehaving, the best fix just might be a fresh reinstallation of Mac OS X - don't forget to backup first.

2009

• Do G4 Macs have what it takes to remain useful in a multicore world?, Simon Royal, Mac Spectrum. With dual-core Intel CPUs running beyond 2 GHz, is any G4 Mac a practical choice?
• OS robustness, Mac reliability, and the upgrade cycle, Charles Moore, 'Book Value. This user has no compelling reason to upgrade from his 5- to 9-year-old PowerBooks, yet he finds the Intel 'Books alluring.
• Estimating the impact of tiered pricing on iTunes Store profits, Frank Fox, Stop the Noiz. Neither Apple nor the recording industry have shared a lot of details, but educated guesses point to tiered pricing being good for both parties.
