Macintosh 512Ke

Overview

Apple replaced the 512K with a new model supporting double-sided 3.5" disks, just like the Mac Plus. Unlike the Plus, the 512Ke used RAM chips instead of SIMMs, just like the 128K and 512K. This precluded upgrading RAM beyond the 512KB that shipped with the computer.
