2G iPod mini

In February 2005, Apple updated the iPod mini with a new, more efficient chipset and a higher capacity. The 2G minis increased play time to an astounding 18 hours.

Visually the 2G iPod minis are distinguished by color printing on the clickwheel and their capacity (4 GB and 6 GB) engraved on the back.

The gold color was discontinued, and the 2G mini was available in silver, blue, pink, and green. Size and weight were identical to the 1G mini.
