RasterOps 724

The RasterOps 724 is a 12" NuBus card compatible with 680x0-based NuBus Macs running up to System 7.5.1.

Details

The card provides standard QuickDraw acceleration and supports the following resolution/color combinations:

• 640 x 480 up to 24-bit
• 832 x 624 up to 24-bit
• 1024 x 768 (60Hz or 75Hz) up to 24-bit

Software

RasterOps video card drivers can be downloaded from the Mac Driver Museum, where ShrinkWrap disk images are available for RasterOps Graphics Install v3.2 and v3.3, MoviePak, MoviePak2, and VideoTime.

Notes

• Resolution is set by DIP switches on the card.
• RasterOps claims the card is incompatible with any 040-based Mac other than the Quadra 700, 900, and 950. If you can verify this (or prove it wrong), please let me know.
