Code of War is a first person shooter that’s not only free to play, but with some pretty great 3D graphics to boot. You go through missions and battles, play as a warrior, and don real-life weapons to try out in the field. Play against other players across the world and try and climb the leaderboard of your country. Check out this game in the app store – it should run on lower end Macs just fine.
Steam Games for Mac
Steam is the game engine that works for both Windows and Mac computers. You can download it on desktop and browse away to your heart’s content – just make sure that you have your filter set to Mac games only. You can easily run games like Planescape, Baldur’s Gate, and Civilisation III, however many other games you may struggle with. There are plenty of games that you won’t have heard of in your life, so just pay attention to how much RAM they need and also the graphics of the game. Your lower end Mac won’t be able to support a lot of the games you like – they might be blocky, overheat your computer, or only able to be played in low resolution – if at all.
Stardew Valley
One of the most talked about games for all types of players over the last five years is Stardew Valley. The game was originally released on Windows, but was later released on other systems too. The game is a simulation RPG that allows you to build your own little world around you, but with a loose storyline too. It even comes with a multiplayer feature, allowing you to play with up to four players at a time.
