Macintosh LC 520

Overview

Take an LC III and graft on a 14" Trinitron monitor. That's what Apple did to create the 520. With the all-in-one design, these were especially popular in schools. This model was replaced by the slightly faster 550 in February 1994.

• upgrade path: LC 575, Quadra 605, Power Mac PDS card

Cautions

• Serial port limited to 57.6kbps; use of a 56k modem is not recommended.
