Not only we got a full unboxing video online, but some of the leaked benchmarks from the video were also uploaded to the Geekbench browser.

Benchmarks
When comparing the M4 iPad Pro to the leaked M5 iPad Pro, we see a 10% increase in single core performance, as well as a 15% over the multi-core. Having a single core score of 4133 puts this ahead of even the likes of the M4 Max, which is a feat on its own. With a multi-core score of 15,437, this fully matches the M4 chip in the 15-Inch MacBook Air.

Apple continues to hold the line when it comes to single core performance scores, and this M5 chip will take it to the next level. Meanwhile, it would match the multi-core scores of already existing M4 chips.

Is this it?
Unboxed on the Wylsacom YouTube channel, the M5 iPad Pro appears to be extremely similar to the M4 iPad Pro on the outside. The box this year is thinner, it comes with a 20W charging brick, and a black-color braided USB-C cable. Like this year’s iPhones, the M5 iPad Pro is devoid of any markings on the back – signaling a potential slight design iteration.

This YouTuber has managed to obtain unreleased Apple products multiple years in a row, despite living in Russia. His channel is dedicated to newer tech products, and he also recently covered the iPhone 17 lineup before it was released as well.

In Conclusion
If this is indeed the upcoming iPad Pro, it seems just about right. The benchmarks, minor iterative changes on the exterior, the small details point to a new device based on a next-generation chip which has alot of power to unleash. One can imagine what an M5 chip (and beyond) could do for a Mac – especially when offered at an entry level cost of $599 for a future M5 Mac mini!
