Low End Mac contains 0% AI generated content.

According to a recent post by Ask Perplexity on X: “The internet as we knew it is dying. AI content went from ~5% in 2020 to 48% by May 2025. Projections say 90%+ by next year. Why? AI articles cost <$0.01. Human writers cost $10-100.”

Continued, in the post: “But the real crisis is model collapse. When Al trains on Al-generated content, quality degrades like photocopying a photocopy. Rare ideas disappear. Everything converges to generic sameness.” like a vacuum for informational heat death, a snake eating its own tail.

The thing about humanity and how we managed to build a civilization, is the strength in our diversity. It’s about our ability to overcome many challenging and unique situations with inventions, intellect, and experience. To artificially reduce the breadth of knowledge through “intelligent grooves”, to whittle away at the soul of creation by reducing toil to mere prompts, is to bite the hand which feeds it, by mimicking the human creations themselves.

How Low End Mac does it

Here at Low End Mac, we have 0% AI generated content. I read everything before typing it out and use my mind to articulate what needs to be said even if tedious, make the graphics on my own in Photoshop CS4, and use search engines to find things. No article on Low End Mac was ever generated by AI, it is all human made content.

I’ve dabbled with ChatGPT and other AI platforms before, to see if maybe they’d be better search engines, could look over and connect more dots within things I already wrote, at times get a second opinion, but ultimately I would double-check everything answered back. ChatGPT doesn’t make images for Low End Mac, nor does it write even an article for us – that’s just not happening. We have already disabled the group AI in FaceBook three times since May this year, too.

Human-made graphics

I picked up the skills in high school, and chose the class as many years as I could to maximize the skill while also getting more time in front of Macs. It was nice to have 40-something minutes everyday to use an iMac G5, later they were replaced with 21.5-Inch 2012 iMacs running Mountain Lion.
.

Over the years I kept doing different projects in Photoshop, keeping the skills alive. Now Low End Mac has custom human-made graphics tailored to different articles, web pages, icons, etc.

I might sometimes sit here for hours working on an article or in a rabbit hole reading about the subject, but I’ll always be willing to articulate it on my own. Low End Mac articles cost $0.00.
