Today the M4 MacBook Air, 2025 Mac Studio, M3 iPad Air, and 11th-Gen iPad were made available to customers around the world along with their respective device accessories. Apple also released some Apple Watch accessories and the new USB-C to MagSafe 3 charging cable in Sky Blue, too. Today, a brand new 15″ M4 MacBook Air A3241 in Sky Blue is unboxed at Low End Mac as well.
What sparked the idea to get this?
The ‘Book in question will be my new “away” daily driver, in tandem with my “home” daily driver, an i7 2018 Mac mini. After seeing the benchmarks for the M4 chip and how they were superior to the M1 Pro in my 16″ M1 Pro ‘Book it felt like a no-brainer. What struck me more than anything was the 1.5x increase in single core performance in Geekbench 6! Benchmarks and articles will be coming. I went and got the 512 GB SSD model.
- Apple is offering extra trade-in credit for the Mac through April 2nd. (See More)
- The M1 Pro MacBook Pro 16″ traded-in saved a majority of the cost of this MacBook Air.
- This device is ~3.5 to 4 years newer than what I had previously, so will be supported further along.
- The M4 chip jumps to 3750 MHz LPDDR5X-7500 RAM and a 3nm process!!!
- Screen doesn’t feel like a downgrade to me

All in all, the Sky Blue M4 MacBook Air 15″ looks like a beautiful device and already feels like a great replacement just by typing on it. It’s the first device I’ve been excited about in a long time because of how the specs set the bar and really package a powerful device into something small and efficient. Ever since I put together a RAID0 array out of SSDs in a Mac Pro 2,1 for the first time, that was my standard for device performance – it had to be snappy. With the single core performance of the M4 chip, this is by far one of the snappiest chips you could snap up on the market.
