A little while back I covered an up-close comparison between the Sky Blue tone of the new M4 MacBook Air and Silver, as some early adopters are saying it is challenging to distinguish at times from Silver.

It was noted that Sky Blue can give the impression of Silver but when you put it right next to a silver device, the difference is there. Silver has a lighter hue to it, Sky Blue is colder. I had a couple more old devices which happened to be of a few different shades, and thought it would be interesting to snap some photos to share with readers on Low End Mac.

I let some natural sunlight in through the window as well as turning a white LED lamp at the top of my desk to emphasize the differences.

Was the new color for the M4 MacBook Air a bit too light or.. is it just-right? I for one am always in favor of adding more to the color palette of choices. It’s blue, just not very blue.
