How You Can Support the Low End Mac Email Lists

Thanks for participating in the Low End Mac email lists, rated by many as some of the best email lists in the business.

Low End Mac is the primary business of Cobweb Publishing, Inc., although we have plans for other sites as well. It takes over $3,000 a month to run the operation - that covers everything from site hosting to ISP fees to salaries to paying writers to postage.

That's why we're asking those who enjoy the Low End Mac email lists for support. Here are some ways you can help support this site.

Sponsors

Please visit the businesses that sponsor the lists.

Donations

If you want to support our work more directly, we accept donations through PayPal, Kagi, the Amazon Honor System, or the mail. Our suggested donation is $1 for each list you receive, but that's just a suggestion.

  • PayPal is our preferred vendor. They charge a 30¢ transaction fee plus 2.2%. If you donate $5.00 via PayPal, we will receive $4.51. PayPal also allows us to transfer funds to our business account daily. Be sure to reference "webmaster@lowendmac.com" when making donations.
  • Kagi charges a 50¢ transaction fee plus 10% of the first $30 plus 3.5% beyond $30. If you donate $5.00 via Kagi, we will receive $4.00. Kagi issues checks once a month; it can take up to two months for funds to reach us (worst case).
  • The Amazon Honor System charges a low 15¢ transaction fee but also collects 15% of the total. If you donate $5.00 via Amazon, we will receive $4.10. Amazon cuts checks every two weeks, so your donation should reach us within two weeks.

The following table summarizes how much we receive at various donation levels. To date we have received donations ranging from $1.50 to over $150. The typical donation is in the $5-20 range.

Donation PayPal Kagi Amazon
  $1.00 0.68 0.40 0.70
  $2.50 2.14 1.75 1.97
  $5.00 4.51 4.00 4.10
 $10.00 9.48 8.50 8.35
 $25.00 24.15 22.00 21.10

If you sign up for eBay or PayPal via the link in this paragraph, we may receive a small fee.

If you prefer not to send funds electronically, you may send donations to Cobweb Publishing, Inc., 215 Ivanhoe Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49507.

Affiliate Fees

Yet another way to help is through affiliate programs. If you shop through any of the following links, the vendor will recognize that your purchase came through Low End Mac and send a small fee our way.
