These links provide quick access to hardware profiles for Intel-based Macs that used Intel Core Solo and Core Duo CPUs. Macs began the transition to Core 2 Duo processors in Sep. 2006.
All of these models support up to 2 GB of system memory and Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, which is the recommended version as long as you have more than 1 GB of RAM installed.
