12" iBook G4/1.33 GHz (Mid 2005)

Nickname: iceBook

iBook

Apple didn't release widescreen iBooks this time around, although that had been widely expected. Instead, the iBook got a small speed boost (11% - from 1.2 GHz to 1.33 GHz), double the stock memory (512 MB vs. 256 MB), added Bluetooth 2.0 as a standard feature, and received improved video with ATI Radeon 9550 graphics with the same 32 MB of video RAM as the previous 12" iBook G4. New to the iBook is Apple's scrolling trackpad.

Maximum RAM is now 1.5 GB. The hard drive is also larger than on the earlier model - 40 GB vs. 30 GB.
