It’s been rumored that Apple was working on a new low-end model to replace the 4″ iPhone 5S, and that new model is called the iPhone SE. It looks like an iPhone 5S, but it has the same A9 CPU as the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus which gives it double the power of the 5S. It’s also the least costly iPhone with ApplePay support, with US prices starting at $399.

iphone-seUnlike the rest of the iPhone 6 family, the SE does not have rounded edges. It has the same type of chamfered edges as the iPhone 5 family, but finished in matte instead of brushed metal. It is available in space grey, silver, gold, and rose gold, just like the iPhone 6S family.

The iPhone SE has the same 12 MP camera as the iPhone 6S, the same 4K video capability, and supports Live Photos. It also includes the always on “Hey Siri” feature. The only iPhone 6S feature that seems to be missing is 3D Touch.

The iPhone SE will ship with iOS 9.3 and be available in stores on March 31, 2016.
