Tahoe 26.2 Beta 2 Windows turn Dark Purple for a moment..

There’s not much to say about this, other than it looked interesting for the moment it presented itself on the screen. For the last 2 developer beta updates installed, whenever I login for the first time, all system windows stay dark purple for a brief moment.

Looks pretty neat, doesn’t it? Wouldn’t it be nice if window colors could be changed system-wide like this? Before OS X 10.11 El Capitan was released, you could change your system themes with an app called Flavours 2.

Flavours 2 on my 2006 iMac with Yosemite

I used this app to make the iMac look like it’s running Mac OS 9, even though it’s actually running OS X 10.10 Yosemite, thought it looked nice. Adding the classic blue Macintosh finder wallpaper, changing the menu bar Apple Menu button to a colorful logo while the remaining text is black; are some nice added details.

What if Apple literally never changed Aqua?

I plan on/am interested in doing a follow-up to the original article from earlier this year, where I photoshopped some screenshots to make Mac OS X Jaguar look like Sequoia.. or.. erm.. Sequoia look like Jaguar.

.
Essentially, what if Apple never-ever changed Aqua from its original style palette/design, only to accommodate iterations in spacing/functionality versus any skin changes at all?
