The PowerPC originated in the 80's with the IBM POWER processors. It just tacked apple tech and Motorola tech in too. If PowerPC Had Not Succeeded,Motorola COLDFIRE 68060 would have been Mac processors(current,RISC,180 MHz). --Anonymous
