About once a month we select an outstanding Mac related web site -
the best of the best. It's always one very useful to the Macintosh
community. A track record of excellence is key for consideration.
Content is king, but appearance and download speed also count.
6/7/99 News, links, and
interesting commentary are hallmarks of a lot of Mac sites. One of my
early favorites was Webintosh, which has a new publisher and a
new identity as The Mac
Observer. Favorite feature: The Mac Observer Spin helps put the
news in perspective.
Previous Mac Merit Badge recipient
5/1/99 If you're really into the
Mac, you've got to love the name of this site: Mac Geeks. Updated most weekdays,
Mac Geeks combines news shorts with links to other interesting content
on the web. My day wouldn't be complete without a visit.
Sites receiving the Mac Merit badge may display a
Mac Merit Badge. Each badge is 80x48 pixels and under 1.1KB. A full
selection of badges is available on the badges
page, including several using the new single-color Apple logo.
Award winners, feel free to copy these to your site or link to a
badge on my site. Please link the badge to this page <http://lowendmac.com/merit/>.
And congratulations on being chosen one of the best Macintosh sites
on the web.
