Team Mac Observer Passes Team
Lockergnome- 22 April 2000 - Dan Knight
Yesterday I predicted that
Team Mac Observer (TMO) "should reach #18 within a few
days." Well, it happened quicker than that, as TMO received
an infusion of 6,148 new work units on Friday, moving us
well ahead of Team Lockergnome. As the chart below (generated by SETI
Checker) shows, our total number of work units (orange)
was closing on Team Lockergnome (black) and then zoomed past
them with the highest number of work units we've had in a
single day in the past three weeks. The SETI@Netherlands (green) team continues to roar past
one team after another, moving to 15th place in the club
standings, roaring past both the FreeBSD and SETI@Home
Poland teams, which are now battling each other over 16th
place in the standings. With both FreeBSD and SETI@Home Poland averaging under
600 units per day, and with TMO recently averaging almost
1,800 units per day, we're gaining on both teams at about
1,200 work units per day, which means we should make up the
11-12,000 unit difference between our team and theirs within
ten days, moving up to #16 in the
club team standings.
